UK public sector gains easy access to the benefits of Data Interchange's process automation solutions through the UK Government's G-Cloud 8 framework.

Data Interchange has been awarded a place as a supplier on the UK Government's G-Cloud 8 framework, making its Digital Invoice, SmarterPay Cloud, DVLA vehicle keeper service and HMRC RTI submissions solutions available to purchase by public sector agencies of all sizes through the government's Digital Marketplace.

G-Cloud 8 is an initiative targeted at easing procurement by public sector bodies in the departments of UK Government of commodity information technology services that use cloud computing. Public sector organisations in the UK spend millions each year sourcing products and services from their suppliers, representing a significant allocation of public resources. Data Interchange’s solutions enable public sector organisations to operate more efficiently by automating core processes, freeing up time and lowering costs, enabling the investment of funds in frontline services.

Established in 2012, the G-Cloud was set up to allow government organisations to procure cloud services without having to resort to a lengthy tender process, accessible to only the largest suppliers. G-Cloud requires software providers to clearly present their service offerings, with publicly available, transparent pricing and pre-agreed, non-negotiable contract terms. This makes it easier and quicker for both parties to transact business with a wider marketplace, with transactions able to take place in days rather than months.

Ieuan Friend, Marketing Director, Data Interchange says, "In order to be accepted on to the G-Cloud framework, Data Interchange secured approval against a strict set of evaluation criteria and assurance checks. We look forward to continuing to work with public sector oragnisations and make accessing our services as easy as possible though the G-Cloud framework."
